being creative ft. ikea
I get it, you'd rather be shooting in a place like Bali or New York. But sometimes when you're 16 and don't got the money improvising is your best friend. So you may ask, what are the best places to shoot in a place like Vancouver? Ikea.
OOTD

WEARING : Vintage leather jacket THRIFTED , BDG dad fit denim from URBAN OUTFITTERS , and Air Force 1's from NIKE.

DETAILS & ACCESSORIES

also wearing: Silver chain necklace from HONG KONG, Heavy weight tee from UNIQLO, and "roller coaster" belt from PACSUN

Wore more of a casual vintage fit than a classy street to give off more of that 90's vibe, also using neutral black and white colors to allow the IKEA environment to pop and be the staple of the shot.
the environment

With Ikea, you can literally take photos anywhere. However, prior to going to this location I wanted a vibe that would aesthetically work with a streetwear kinda vibe. Basically a vintage leather jacket and Air Force 1's wouldn't look good with a kitchen counter. Taking most of all the photos in the "self serve" section of Ikea definitely gave me the environment for the vibe I wanted to give off.
There's definitely a lot of better locations to take photos. However, if you're bored of the same street locations everyday maybe its time to check out your local IKEA. Every IKEA is different, so you'll get a different experience and also maybe even a different overall vibe. It also takes a lot of confidence to take photos here. But you know people will stare, just make it worth their while...
